Guys im going to be traveling to Pakistan, and I am going to be taking my iphone with me. I have a few questions:

I have called my carrier and they have unlocked the sim, so when I get to Pakistan just get a simcard from there and put it into the phone? if yes, would it give me problems and what companies are good for this?

I would highly appreciate the help

Just came back from Pakistan, had iPhone 4s with me when I left - bought a Ufone sim card from Lahore and used it for 2 months - no issues what so ever!

You will need a micro-sim cutter or simply look up on youtube on how to make a micro sim, if in Pakistan, you'll need to go to your network's service center / franchise

You should have no problems at all - all Pakistani networks support the iPhone, If I have to recommend one I'd say get Telenor, they have the best net speed all over Pakistan, as for call quality use Ufone

What exactly do you mean by micro-sim cutter? Do they not have micro sims in Pakistan? Or can the place where I buy the sim do it for me?

Telenor has the best internet and uFone has the best call quality, can i combine both or what?

You can get micro-sims from Ufone or Telenor service centers easily, they might not have it there & then but they will arrange for it couple of days! Luckily I had micro-sim cutter off ebay

As for earlier question as to whether you can combine both Telenor / Ufone, the answer would be no, you'd have to buy another phone or you can get a Dual-sim phone in Pakistan for as little as 8,000 (micromax, Qmobile etc)

McTube is one cool iphone app, let you plat youtube continuously in background .... just create your play list on youtube and you dont need any more spotify or pandora

iOS 5.1.1 is the best due to lot of reasons. First I upgraded then downgraded to 5.1.1 now enjoying....! lol
