Aisam-ul-Haq in the men's doubles quarter finals of Wimbledon 2010

Not much hype but a really good achievement by Aisam-ul-Haq and his partner Rohan Bopanna (India) to make it to the quarter finals of Wimbledon men's doubles.

Proud of you Aisam!!

“We want to win Wimbledon” EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
“We want to win Wimbledon” LONDON: Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi created tennis history when he became the first Pakistani to reach the quarter-finals at Wimbledon with his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna on Monday.

The South Asian pair eased to a straight-set win over Lucas Lacko of Slovakia and Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine in the round of 16 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet club.

Qureshi and Bopanna wrapped up the match 7-5, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 to enter the Men's Doubles last-eight stage, however, their opponents are yet to be determined.

The Pakistani number one and world number 42 is a grass-court specialist and has been improving his performance at the world’s most prestigious tennis tournament in the last few years.

What is wrong with you?

They are dominating doubles pair. Who cares if his partner is Indian?

Sad to see that they didn't put up much fight. Nevertheless, they had played well to reach the quarterfinal.

Aisam and Bopanna have lost a number of finals/semifinals of various tournaments this year.

First of All,Well done Aisam and Bopanna for making it that far..

Well, tbh, they squandered a huge opportunity to go further in the tourny....All the top teams like, Nestor/Zimonjic ,Bryan/Bryan Dlouhy/Paes ,Bhupati / Mirnyi and others had been knocked out and the draw was wide open but a shame they lost to Petzchner/Melzer,a team that is pretty much unknown. Both of them,Petzchner and Melzer are good singles players but never really seen them playing together....So,Aisam and Bopanna should have capitalised on that opportunity..

Well, lets hope its not an one-off performance and they repeat their heroics in future slams as well..
