As we all know next T20 WC will be held in Bangladesh. It is just a few months away. It will be held in a place which will help spinners no doubt. Thus teams having strong spin attacks would benefit. Also , spinning all rounders would be like gold dust.
I am of the belief that England have been slowly throtted by Flower's control-freakishness, failures in long-term planning, and micro-management of Cook. Now that Flower will fly home and Giles takes over for the ODIs (not JAMODIs in this instance, because ENG have a lot to prove), will the England boys start playing with more self-belief and freedom? If so, will Gilo take over as coach of the test side too?
A poor day for Pakistan as a pitch with a bit of movement was too much for the batsmen. Questions will be asked of Asad Shafiq in particular who has been struggling of late and also whether Sarfraz Ahmed was the best choice as reserve wicketkeeper. Sri Lanka's seam bowlers kept the ball in the right areas and after a decent start to their innings, they will be confident of a healthy lead particularly if the pitch flattens out.
This is the first 200+ partnership for West Indies in ODIs for any wicket since January 1999.
West Indies scored 363/4 against New Zealand today which is their highest ever score in ODI history. Previous one was 360/4 against Sri Lanka in 1987.
Mohammad Amir burt in to the scene showing talent and skill to match the greats but unfortunately got involved in the wrong things. Junaid Khan joined the squad after his consistancy at the domestic level when no one thought that Amir could be replaced. At current stage both bowlers have similar stats mainly due to the immense hard work from Junaid. How to both bowlers compare?
As a Pakistani fan would you like to see your team participating in the Asia Cup if the host is Bangladesh?
I believe that these two will be our best long term solution. They are the best opening pair we have and I think they are the only viable long term solution. We have tried loads of other openers and all have failed. Shehzad has established himself as an opener, so one opening spot has been taken for the foreseeable future. The other opening spot is open for debate but I feel Sami Aslam is probably the best and most promising option available to us.
He has scored another triple century this season and nasir jamshed is badly out of form and sharjeel is no socring consistently i fear that selectors will give him another chance?
This weeks Post of the week winner 'OZGOD' for his fantastic post hilighting why lesser teamssuch as New Zealand dont get muct exposure to Test Cricket as they perhaps would like.
