Former Australian pacer Shaun Tait, who also served as Pakistan's fast-bowling coach, recently sat down with Saj Sadiq for an in-depth, exclusive conversation following Pakistan's memorable 2-1 victory in the ODI series against Australia in their own backyard. This historic win marked a significant achievement for Pakistan, and Tait shared his insights into the series, offering a detailed look at Pakistan’s performance, the leadership qualities of Mohammad Rizwan, and his admiration for the team's talented young players.

Immensely impressed with Rizwan's leadership, Tait said that the wicket-keeper batter is more than capable of leading Pakistan. Moreover, the former Aussie quick also picked Pakistan as one of his favorite teams for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

 


He also praised Pakistan's pace battery. However, he was particularly pleased with the performance of top-order batters Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique, as the duo was involved in two match-winning partnerships in the 2nd and 3rd ODIs, respectively.
