In exclusive remarks to PakPassion.net Dilawar Mani, CEO of The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), has confirmed that an offer by the ECB to host this series had been made and was under discussion by the PCB. He also offered the rationale behind the suggestion to arrange the matches in the desert emirate.
Speaking with PakPassion.net former Pakistan off spinner Saqlain Mushtaq who played in the match in Canada for the Asia XI spoke of his delight at taking part in the match in Toronto but also urged the organisers to ensure that the cricketers who took part in the event are paid their dues in full as soon as possible.
