We keep hearing that there is a dearth of batting or bowling talent in Pakistan . No one is good enough any more because of lack of international cricket in Pakistan or the poor domestic structure . How is it then the youngsta beauties end up performing better than the seniors and experienced players that have been around for ages ?
No , thread is not meant to hype up players who have not played more than 4 international level matches in any format . Still , Sohaib Maqsood , Anwar Ali , Bilawal Bhatti , Zulfiqar Babar have all impressed so far . Even Jamshed and Shafiq looked like very good prospects when started , which raises another question , what happens to these youngsters along the way ?

Ok, before you guys jump the gun, Asif ofcourse was a far better bowler and Anwar Ali will have to do a lot before he can get close to Asifs skill. Anyhow my observation though was that Anwar and Asif have similar actions and Anwar Ali should really take a look at the way Asif used to bowl and try to incorporate a bit of Asif in his bowling. He has a decent height as well, but needs to get closer to the stumps.

ODI cricket is changed now. The idea of 5 batsmen and a WK, 4 bowlers and 1 all rounder does not work in this era.
This is an era of players like Hafeez, Maxwell, McLaren, Parnell, Mathews, Faulkner, Perera, Kulasekara, Jadeja, Ashwin, Southee, Sammy, Shakib etc.
