After a disastrous tour of Australia and a drawn T20 series vs. England, Pakistan travelled to the Caribbean to defend their World Twenty20 final.

Put in a group with Bangladesh and Australia, they opened their campaign vs. the former on May 1st, 2010.

The average age as at yesterday of the Pakistan squad for the Champions Trophy was 28.97. Eight of the squad are over the age of 30.

In your opinion is this an experienced or an aged squad?

Should youth have been given more of a chance or is the balance right?

This is really an issue. With no Umar Akmal selected, Hammad Azam continually ignored and Razzaq out of favour with the selectors completely there is absolutely no big hitters going into those last 10 overs, whether chasing or setting a target.

As we all know, Umar Akmal has not been selected for the Champions Trophy but the way many people are reacting to his exclusion is beyond ridiculous.

He has been with the team for 4 years now, got his chance at the tender age of 19 and has been dropped from the team for the very first time and people are acting as if the world has come to an end.

Pakistans recent succes has been with a 3 man pace attack. To complement it we have the best spinner in the world, a second off-spinner who is far more than a part-timer and would walk into most ODI teams in the world as a bowler and then to top it off we have an actual part-time spinner who has a 140 wickets.

Where does Abdur Rehman fit in?

Two days ago, on April 28th it was the 25th anniversary of Pakistan becoming the 1st team not to lose a series in West Indies since England drew a rubber in 1974. Infact in April 1988, but for some dubious umpiring decisions I would have backed Pakistan to win the series. The series was a victory for test cricket with the 2nd and third test matches producing the intensity of a Hollywood classic thriller with the pendulum continuously changing in opposite directions. This series was billed as the unofficial test world championship.

Big tournament in England coming up, and the star of our last big win in England, Shahid Afridi, will not be there.

Huge disappointment for fans in the UK, but will Afridi be able to come back from this? He was also dropped for the India series but quickly made it back for the ODIs vs South Africa. Can he do it again?

What are your thoughts on his axing, do you agree with the decision? After his performance in South Africa, surely the decision is justified?
