I was watching the following video and few questions came to mind mind.
1. Would ball tracking be able to properly predict the path?
2. If this was referred to you as 3rd umpire, will you use ball tracking or slow motion video?
Fun topic - if international cricketers were university students, what would they would be like?
It's clearly known that our youngsters need to be nurtured in the right way. Most power house nations like England, SA etc do this by having a PROPER A squad or for England a Lions squad. Yes we do have a Pakistan A squad but not with regular games and tours. There is no motivation or rewards involved. We should have a squad who regularly play and it should be a real honour to play for them. They're should be regular tours of SA, England, Australia etc. It's important that its clear this is not a U19 squad or a squad for just some promosing good kids. It should be for 1 Any players around under 28 who are good and could be in the main squad but they're are better players who are nearing they're end in a few years. (Eg Ajmal) 2 for upcoming promising youngsters like Usman Qadir. This is a way to nurture them much better then them sitting on the sidelines giving senior players drinks etc
3 out of the top 4 fastest bowlers ever recorded are Aussies.
Lee,Tait,Thompson
Brett lee is the only bowler in the Top 5 who bowls with a Straight/Classical action.
The remaining 4 of the top 5 were Gunslingers or Catapults(Thompson,Shoaib,Tait and Roberts)
In the Top 10,Pakistan and WI's both represent twice.
Akhtar and Sami for the prior and Roberts,Fidel Edwards for the latter.
Almost all Express Bowlers in top 15 are from Aus,Pak or WI.
Malinga and Steyn spoil the party.

(I know nobody really cares about the Asia Cup but kept it in anyway) It's good to see a batsman who saves his best for the BIG games for a change, even great players like Inzamam, Younis, Yousuf flopped more often than not for Pakistan in events like the WC. He's also upped his game against Australia in all formats which is nice. Have criticized Umar Akmal in the past but he played smartly and maturely in this tournament, perhaps it was the pressure of competition from young Nasir Jamshed getting all the praise which motivated him but whatever the case, Pakistan has benefited. Like it or not, he's a mainstay in Pakistan LOI teams and rightfully so, quality numbers on the big stage.
Is Test Match Special dying out as a result of internet streams (free but of course illegal) becoming more popular nowadays?
This means that because people can get free coverage of internet cricket will TMS sadly die out? I've heard TMS a few times and it truly is great because not only is it coverage of the cricket being played at the time but the commentators also provide truly magnificent, humorous stories of their times during First-Class/Test cricket.
So, do you think that this is the main reason for its decline or do other reasons play more importance?
