Umar Amin was part of the initial squad selected by the PCB, making him apparently higher in the pecking order than Asad Shafiq who had to score some runs in the practice game before being added to the squad.
Come the first Test, Shafiq is selected ahead of Amin. Surely that's not right? I'm not discussing who the better batsman is, but when they are both middle-order batsmen and when the squad was initially selected, Amin was preferred. What has changed exactly?
