After bowling out Australia for 211 in the 1st innings, Pakistan got their 1st innings off to a shaky start, slumping to 111/4.

 

Asif Iqbal's presence at the crease brought some much needed stability to Pakistan's innings as he partnered with Haroon Rasheed, adding 94 runs for the 5th wicket. Javed Miandad walked out to the crease following Haroon Rasheed's dismissal with the scorecard reading 205/5.

 

Asif Iqbal and Javed Miandad added 115 runs for the 6th wicket and ensured Pakistan got a substantial lead. Asif Iqbal had scored 120 runs over his four-hour long innings
