Today after the holi revelry i was chatting with a few friends and i brought up the Razzaq statement comparing Shehzad and Tendulkar. While most were dismissive about it,one of the guys brought up a very good point. He said that there may be rare batsmen who may have as much ability/talent as Tendulkar but how many will put as much harwork as him.To put that much effort in once's batting is may be even rarer than the talent he possesed. So the combination of both made him the unique player he was.

What do PPers think? How much of Tendulkar's effort was down to his outrageous talent and how much to his sheer hardwork.
