When Saqlain was in his prime as a bowler he was pretty much the best slow bowler around in limited overs cricket in the late 90s and early 2000s with Shane Warne, Pretty much he would destroy batting line ups in ODI games due to his ability to bowl the Doosra at will and batsmen struggle to pick it, however by playing to much county cricket and also going through a stage where he started to over bowl the doosra he became in-effective.

Going from a quality off-spinner who could surprise batsmen with the odd Doosra he went onto to start bowling it almost all the time and batsmen started to be able to pick it and also combat it and performances started to dip.
