Forgive me if this topic has been discussed before. But in my opinion, these are two ruthless captains who have suddenly brought fresh energry and aggression into cricket captaincy which had become slow, methodical and stale. Both of them seem to be strategically (psychological battles, pre-preps, use of media, psyching up own players) and tactically (seizing key moments in play, making good use of available resources, targeting individuals etc) gifted. They may sometimes go overboard but what I like about them is that they never say die.

In the last decade or so, I can't think of another captain who comes close. The last one was Ganguly.

Good fun to watch test cricket with one of them in charge.
