Whilst tournament ticket sales have been impressive, the growing number of absent players must be disappointing for fans and no doubt organisers.
Gul, Afridi, Graeme Smith, Sehwag, Gambhir, Tendulkar, KP and Yuvraj are amongst the big names who will not be seen in the Champions Trophy. Some through injury but others due to non selection.
