I is for...Irfan

Irfan or Mohammed Irfan - know and learn that name as he will be a handful for most batsmen this summer in England!

After a long time, we now have a weapon of mass destruction (for batting lineups) as he amply demonstrated in India and South Africa.

Ok, so we are hyping him up but we have good reason to do that.

We at PakPassion have supported the gentle giant throughout his career and even when many here spoke about him as a total misfit for International duties - we stuck by him.

To say that we feel absolute pleasure and pride to see him walk in the national colours would be an understatement - we are absolutely over-joyed to see Irfan play for Pakistan and return to the same venues where he made a disastrous start to his career.

In Champions Trophy, we will expect Irfan to make early inroads and dent the top order and then comeback again to stop the late order charge but along the way Irfan will also be making a statement of his own to dispel any doubt that he is unable to compete and out think batsmen at the international level and has issues with fitness.

Inshallah, with Junaid Khan at his side, Irfan is expected to provide the kind of targets that a fragile Pakistani batting order will need to take them all the way to the finals (and more! )

The I is for Irfan - and don't anyone forget that!
