Whilst the team looks to have a nice blend of experience and youth, in all honesty the team looks as if it lacks some explosive hitters in the middle order. Umar Akmal and Hammad Azam could have provided some middle order fireworks and quick runs when needed but neither has been selected.

In addition the choice of 3rd seamer is going to be crucial with opposition teams potentially targetting whoever is chosen as the 3rd seamer. There will undoubtedly be a lot of pressure on Ehsan Adil, Wahab Riaz or Asad Ali, whichever one of this trio is selected.

Having said the above, Pakistan has the ability to rise to the occasion and lift their game. A lot will depend upon the expereinced duo of Hafeez and Misbah with the bat and both of them will need to bat out of their skins if Pakistan is to win the title.

The pace bowling duo of Junaid and Irfan can rip apart any batting lineup and there are high expectations of both left arm pacemen. Saeed Ajmal will of course need to be on top of his game if Pakistan is to succeed, but it's going to be a tough challenge for the Pakistanis.

The heart says Pakistan to be crowned champions, but the head says it won't happen.
