T is for...Taylor
Taylor..Ross Taylor that is.
One of New Zealand's few stars, Ross Taylor has the ability to put the island nation's weight on his shoulders and single handily lead the Black Caps to victory.
Fresh off of the captaincy saga which resulted in him being demoted, replaced by Brendon McCullum, and then him taking a self-imposed break from the game, Ross Taylor has to come in with a clear mind so that he can do what New Zealand requires, play his natural game.
He'll want to improve on his only prior Champions Trophy, in 2009 when he finished with 121 runs in 5 matches at an average of 24.20 and strike-rate of 65.40. Having just completed a two Test-match series vs. England, Taylor finished with scores of 66, 0, 6, and 70.
A mixed bag of scores, but in a tournament in which each team seems to have a chance of winning, Ross Taylor might just be enough to push the Black Caps to glory.
