Pakistan team manager Intikhab Alam stated that he was proud of his team's efforts in Ireland after Pakistan completed a two nil series victory in Belfast.

"The boys did very well in what I would call very trying conditions for Pakistan. It was extremely cold especially having only just arrived from a tour of the Caribbean and the boys really felt the change in temperature. I was really pleased with the attitude, the guts and determination from the squad and it's heartening for the future."

Alam also praised Cricket Ireland for their hospitality in hosting the Pakistan team in Belfast and also had some words of praise for the Irish cricketers.

"Ireland played some good cricket over the course of the two matches in Belfast. They've done very well and are an improving side. They demonstrated how good they are with their performance in the World Cup earlier this year and I would like to extend my thanks to Cricket Ireland for making sure that our stay in Ireland was a comfortable one."

Alam further added that he was very pleased with the spirit shown on the tour of Ireland especially after such a tough schedule for Pakistan in recent months.

"Yes, there was very good spirit in Ireland, as I would say there was for most of the time in the West Indies. I've always felt that it's very important that there is a good relationship and atmosphere between the players and the management on tours."
