PTV Innings
PIA won the toss and put PTV in to bat, a decision which was vindicated in just the first two overs as PTV crumbled to an incredible 0/5. And no, this wasn't Australian scoring method - it actually was five wickets for no runs.
Najaf Shah was the destroyer as he tore through the batting line-up with some lethal bowling. He finished with figures of 4 for 26, which could easily have been 5 for 26 but for a dropped chance. When PTV scored their first run off Aizaz Cheema, the crowd gave them a huge hand. PIA didn't fall away completely, as a 59-run seventh-wicket partnership between captain Zohaib Ahmed and Yasim Murtaza earned some respite for PTV. PTV managed to score 96 runs from their allocated quota of 20 overs, with nine PTV batsmen failing to reach double-digits.
PIA Innings
PIA started positively and reached their target easily, within 15 overs. Skipper Kamran Sajid and Sarfraz Ahmed knocked off the 97 runs required, with the latter playing some delightful shots to make a case of a recall to the national side. He struck seven fours in his half-century - his second in T20s.
Kamran Sajid looked nervy and took his time at the wicket before getting the feel of the game. He remained unbeaten on 39, which included four fours.
Summary
PIA made it three wins out of three as they routed PTV by 10 wickets, with four overs to spare. They're now on the verge of clinching a semi-final berth, with two more games to play.
