Lahore Qalandars secured their third win of the tournament, defeating Multan Sultans by five wickets at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday night. With this result, Qalandars climbed to second place on the points table, just behind Islamabad United.

Chasing 186, Qalandars overcame early setbacks thanks to a dynamic 89-run partnership off 41 balls between Daryl Mitchell and Sikandar Raza. Mitchell anchored the chase with a composed 64 from 38 deliveries, hitting four fours and four sixes, while Raza finished unbeaten on 40 from 21 balls, including two fours and four sixes.

The chase began shakily as Mohammad Naeem fell in the second over, and Fakhar Zaman contributed a brisk 28 before being dismissed with the score at 45. Abdullah Shafique (34 off 25) and Mitchell then steadied the innings with a 49-run stand, but two quick wickets from Ubaid Shah left Qalandars at 95-4. Mitchell and Raza then accelerated, scoring heavily in the middle overs to keep the required rate in check.

For Multan, Ubaid Shah took two wickets, while Little, Hasnain, and Akif Javed claimed one apiece.

Earlier, Multan Sultans posted 185/3, powered by unbeaten half-centuries from captain Mohammad Rizwan (76* off 48) and Kamran Ghulam (52* off 31). The pair added 115 runs in the last 59 balls after the Sultans lost wickets at regular intervals early in their innings.

For Lahore, Tom Curran, Haris Rauf, and Daryl Mitchell each picked up a wicket
