Speaking exclusively to PakPassion.net, Rana Naved ul Hasan confirmed today that he had received written confirmation of his release from the ICL.

25th May 2009

Speaking exclusively to PakPassion.net, Rana Naved ul Hasan confirmed today that he had received written confirmation of his release from the ICL.

Speaking from Headingley prior to the Twenty/20 match between Yorkshire and Leicestershire, Rana stated that contrary to earlier reports his release papers had been received today allowing him to be eligible to play for Yorkshire in this seasons Twenty/20 competition.

There had been confusion about Rana's eligibilty for Yorkshire in the Twenty/20 competition and also suggestions that if he played then Yorkshire would not be eligible to compete in the Champions League if they won the competition.

There still however seems to be confusion over whether the ex ICL players are now eligible to play for their country and Rana will be hoping that the situation is rectified sooner rather than later.
