Speaking exclusively to PakPassion.Net; 6'10 fast bowler Mohammad Irfan reveals that the Pakistan academy tour to South Africa has been cancelled by South Africa. He also talks about what reprecussions Aamir Sohail's resignation has had for the young players at the NCA.

Speaking exclusively to PakPassion.Net, upcoming fast bowler Mohammad Irfan said that the camp for the Pakistan academy tour to to South Africa had been called off. The camp was cancelled because the academy tour itself was cancelled on the South African side, Irfan was disappointed as he was hoping to be called up to the camp.

PakPassion.Net has learnt that the reason for the cancellation of the tour was a clash with the Champions Trophy event which will be hosted by South Africa. Ironically the trophy itself was due to be played in Pakistan, so with the cancellation of the academy tour Pakistan cricket has received a double blow.

Aamir Sohail's resignation from the NCA in Lahore has also meant that the young players (including Mohammad Irfan) brought in during his tenure have been sent back home until the new administration fully takes over. Once the new administration is in place they will re-evaluate which players can continue at the NCA and which ones will no longer be required.
