Speaking earlier today exclusively to PakPassion.net interim Director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and Game Development, Haroon Rashid stated that the Under 23 training camp currently ongoing in Karachi was going well.

Haroon stated "of the 28 players originally listed to attend, 25 accepted the invitation and are amongst the players at the camp. The 3 players from the original list that are not in attendance are Anwar Ali, Mohammad Naved and Nazar Hussain who were replaced by Mohammad Hassan, Mohammad Owais and Abdul Hameed".

Haroon further added "the camp in Karachi is running parallel to the under 16 camp that is being held in Lahore. Many of the regional coaches are in attendance as well as Rashid Latif who of course is currently an employee at the NCA. The camp provides these younger players a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the best coaches in Pakistan and will help them to further develop their game".

When asked about the current situation regarding the batting coach and whether Saeed Anwar or Javed Miandad had been approached, Haroon stated "I am unsure as to what the current situation is and its probably best that you speak to the PCB about this as I have only heard the stories in the press".
