Speaking to PakPassion.net from Lahore, 21 year old Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Talha confirmed that he had identified his bowling run up as an area of weakness and has decided to make some alterations to it.

"I looked at the videos of my bowling with my coach and it was clear that I needed to improve and alter my runup" stated Talha who made his only test appearance against Sri Lanka in March of this year at Lahore, taking 1 for 88 from 17 overs.

Talha who was identfied by Wasim Akram as a trio of bowlers with great potential at a training camp organised by the PCB (the others being Mohammad Aamer and Sohail Tanvir) further added "I looked at videos of various fast bowlers around the world and identified Brett Lee as someone with a great run up. I therefore started to copy his run up in practice matches and the nets and then tried it out "properly" in the recent Quaid E Azam Trophy match against Lahore Shalimar. I feel very comfortable with the new runup and I think it will improve my bowling all round. I feel that the new runup suits me perfectly".

Talha who helped highly fancied National Bank to a resounding innings victory against Lahore Shalimar in their Quaid E Azam Trophy opener wherein he took 3 wickets in total, feels that the "A" tours of Sri Lanka and Australia have helped him and he was really looking forward to a successful season for National Bank. "I enjoyed the "A" tours of Sri Lanka and Australia as it gave me the chance to play against a number of international players from both countries. I suffered a knee injury in Australia and missed some of the matches, but I played a large part of the Sri Lanka tour and I am 100% fit now and am hopeful that I can turn in some good performances that can help me get another chance in playing for my country".
