Speaking exclusively to PakPassion.net, the Under 19 coach for the tour of Zimbabwe Sabeeh Azhar stated that he was satisfied with the team's performance in Zimbabwe.

"The team overall performed well, they played some good cricket and it was very good experience for the youngsters. I'm sure the tour will help them in their future career development. I felt the bowling was very good, it was definitely up to the mark, but the batting was disappointing. Perhaps the fact it was the first overseas tour for some of the boys played a part in the disappointing batting performance. The reality though is that we should have put more runs on the board than we did", stated Azhar.

Azhar who is coach of the Rawalpindi team that is currently taking part in the Quaid E Azam trophy added "Sialkot's 17 year old left arm spinner Raza Hasan was the real star of the tour, Raza was tremendous on the tour of Zimbabwe, he's a very talented boy, mentally strong and has plenty of variety in his bowling, especially a "doosra" that he bowls".

Azhar when asked about Usman Qadir's performance on the tour stated "Usman has a very bright future, again like Raza he's a very talented boy, but everyone must remember how young he is. I would suggest to Usman to continue playing at his age level and to continue playing at Under 19 level, rather than starting to play in first class cricket just yet. Usman I feel will continue to improve as a cricketer but he shouldn't rush into tournaments like the Quaid E Azam Trophy as yet. I feel Usman will definitely improve with more experience under his belt at junior level".

Speaking about highly rated Pakistan Customs left handed batsman Rameez Aziz, Sabeeh confirmed "Rameez has some talent, but he needs to work on staying at the crease. There were some occasions in Zimbabwe where he had plenty of overs to bat, but just when settled gave his wicket away with a reckless shot. He will learn and as I said tours like this are invaluable to boys like Rameez".

When asked about the security situation in Zimbabwe, Sabeeh stated that "the security arrangements were excellent and the hospitality that we received was superb. There was a very good atmosphere at all of the matches and all in all it was a very good tour".

Pakistan won 7 out of the 8 matches they played in Zimbabwe, with their only defeat coming in the last one day match.
