Ijaz Butt confirmed today to PakPassion.net that no coaching deals have been agreed by the Pakistan Cricket Board with former players Waqar Younis and Saeed Anwar.

"The story regarding Saeed Anwar holding a batting camp once the team returns from Australia is just media talk" stated the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

"I read the story and was surprised and can confirm that nothing has been agreed with Saeed. He has in the past confirmed to me his willingness to help out Pakistan cricket, but he is currently very busy with his own commitments which would limit his availability" added Butt.

Waqar Younis is currently with the Pakistan squad touring Australia and was appointed as the bowling coach specifically for the tour down under.

Butt confirmed to PakPassion.net that no long term agreement has been agreed yet with Waqar.

"Waqar also has television commitments, and the initial agreement with him was for just the tour of Australia" stated Butt. "We will have to sit down with Waqar and see what his plans are for the future and whether he is available for any future tours, or whether we work with him on a series by series basis".

There has been a lot of support for Waqar Younis, a veteran of 349 international matches to be appointed as bowling coach on a long term basis. Rana Naved ul Hasan is just one of a list of bowlers who have in the past praised Waqar and his coaching methods and attributed their improvement to the former UBL and Surrey speedster.

Saeed Anwar with nearly 13,000 international runs to his name would be seen by many as someone who could help a number of the current crop of younger batsmen in the Pakistani ranks, and Saeed's name has also been mentioned as a potential full time batting coach.
