Why did he resign?
Listening to him on TV he seemed to imply that he was disappointed by the reaction of the public but lets face it - if that was the way things worked in Pakistan, we would have no Govt!
Another significant point he made was that he was appointed by Zaka Ashraf - by definition that does not endear him to Sethi as well.
As usual nothing is what it seems - and Hafeez's remarks dont exactly clarify the issue.

Firstly which of today's pace bowlers has the best bowling action?
James Anderson perhaps? Jerome Taylor maybe? Dale Steyn? Or someone else?
and secondly, which pace bowler in the history of the game has had the best bowling action?
Kapil Dev, Dennis Lillee, Mike Hendrick, Imran Khan (later in his career), Shaun Pollock are just some that spring to mind.
Keeping in view the past behavior of Pakistan selectors and our illiterate media, I am pretty sure selectors will select him in next ODI series even if he does not deserve it. They will surrender to the pressure created by media and people who ignore reality and facts and just want to promote Younis based on his test performances.....
Up until the last 7-8 years WI pitches were notorious for being fast and bouncy but now they are slow low SC style turners. Why has there been such a change to pitches in the WI?.
How did you rate Mohammad Azharuddin as a captain? A lot of people forget that it was under him that guys like Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble etc came into the side and flourished.
What is the BCCI's main gripe? They contribute 70 percent of global revenue and in return receive 3-4 percent. Ok. Let that sink in, before you feel that familiar urge to throw another vague kitchen sink 'BCCI is a demon KILL IT BEFORE IT LAYS EGGS' type argument. Any organization that contributes 3/4th of global revenue and receives less than 1/4 back, will be correct to feel a little aggrieved, yes? But hey, why do they need all that money? They're already drowning in it! Well, these kind of questions seems to assume one fact subconsciously: That Indian cricket is a finished project. Is it?
Do you think the recent events in Karachi will setback attempts to bring international cricket back to Pakistan?
