Listening to him on TV he seemed to imply that he was disappointed by the reaction of the public but lets face it - if that was the way things worked in Pakistan, we would have no Govt!
Another significant point he made was that he was appointed by Zaka Ashraf - by definition that does not endear him to Sethi as well.
As usual nothing is what it seems - and Hafeez's remarks dont exactly clarify the issue.
After the Karachi Airport attacks, is it more than reasonable for former international players to refuse to come to Pakistan and play in the Ramazan Cricket Tournament?
Reports suggest Shehzad is unhappy with the contract category given to him. Do you think he's justified to feel that way?
I remember the days........when the Sabina Park wicket used to be a flier. Chin music to the batsmen, the crowd loudly cheering as the batsmen were ducking and diving for cover as the ball flew off a length. Wicket-keepers stood a long way back yet still taking the ball at head height. Reggae music blared around the ground as the loud thud of a ball hit the batsmen's helmet. Lots of advice from the locals to batsmen who literally shook in their boots at the crease. What an absolute tragedy for cricket that Sabina Park has become what in effect is a dust-bowl with the ball barely getting up to waist height.
