We've seen, averaging 50 in both Tests and ODIs at the same time isn't outlandish, but will we get to see a batsman who will go one step further and average 50 in T20s as well?
9 not outs in a winning situation when Pakistan are batting last out of 152 international innings. When is this lad going to learn?
With Hanif Mohammad, Javed Miandad, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and now Waqar Younis being inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, we don't have many obvious "greats" left.
Inzamam or Mohammad Yousuf perhaps? Although given that Brian Lara and Steve Waugh were only quite recently inducted, we might be waiting a while!
Other names off the top of my head - Abdul Qadir, Saqlain maybe?
In my opinion, Shehzad will perform much better in the company of Sharjeel as compared to the Jamshed of recent times.
Indeed, from what I have seen, Sharjeel is extremly similar to technically deficient batsmen like Sehwag in that he will not play long innings, unless in favouring conditions against certain bowlers, but he will more often than not give a start of 20-30 at 100+ SR. This would be an object of worry, especially when compared to the qualities of Jamshed, but that quickfire start, no matter how unpleasing or sloggish, could actually be a blessing in disguise.
Pakistan struggled to chase 138 against an Associate Nation's bowling line-up. The fact is that Pakistan will struggle to chase against any opposition - strong or weak!
There are 5 batsmen who scored more than 1000 Test runs in Adelaide but look at Clarke numbers there, 6 Centuries 3 fifties a total of 1279 runs in 9 Tests with an average of 98.38 and two double hundreds.
