A comparison of how Tanvir and Hafeez performed in the recently concluded ODI series VS SA.
Pakistan middle order batsman, Shdab Kabir, was born on this day in 1977 in Karachi. Shadab made his Test and ODI debut in 1996. In total he only played 5 Tests and 3 ODIs. He scored 148 runs at an average of 21 in the former and more interestingly in his three innings in ODI cricket, he never got off the mark, always getting out on zero.

In this week's show, the guys discuss the fallout from the Pakistan VS South Africa ODI series and the positives and negatives from the series.
Pakistan in total scored 971 runs for 50 wickets in 5 ODIs against South Africa which means average score of 194 in each match and a wicket after every 19 runs.
I still remember those wonderful days in 2009 when Umar Akmal took apart the world's best bowlers, first in Lanka and NZ, announcing himself as the most destructive young talent in the game.
Four years on and Umar has not improved - and in fact has gotten worse. This is an unacceptable state of affairs given that, pound for pound, Umar is the most naturally gifted young batsman on the planet (watch his fifty against Mitchell Johnson in 2010 if you don't believe me - the audacity, courage and belief against fast bowlers is present in the rarest of cricketers).
So what is the solution? To my mind a season in the England county game would be a start. Not just on the field, but off the field - learning how to fend for himself in an alien country.
End of the day, if Umar Akmal doesn't become the best player in the world given his majestic talent, it is as much a failing of Pakistan cricket, Pakistani fans and Pakistan as it is of the player himself.
Suppose only 3 players can be dropped from this ODI squad.
So which 3 players you will choose to drop and who you will choose as their replacements?
Impressive or what? Maqsood has the potential to make it big but will he do justice to his potential?
