One year ago on this date, September 28, 2012 to be exact, Pakistan kicked off the Super Eight stage of the World Twenty20 in thrilling fashion.
Not one to be proud of but the fact is that Pakistan has yet to win a Test in Australia since 1995! Is this record likely to change?
Zaheer Abbas feels that a 3 pronged spin attack could unnerve South Africa - how likely is that to happen?
I would like to know if I am the only person on here that is feeling completely disenfranchised and disinterested in what is happening with the current team, the statements of former players etc. It's all becoming tiresome to the point where I avoid the cricket Forum here.
Selectors have included 4 openers in the probable squad of 28.
Muhammad Hafeez
Shan Masood
Khurram Manzoor
Ahmad Shehzad
The recent trend shows that Pakistan have 3 openers in their squads. So, which 3 you would prefer in the squad?
A dip in form does not mean he is finished or not capable at Test level. He has scored some good innings in testing conditions in past and has proved to be a future star. Not long ago he was tipped as the future leader. Why people have forgotten him so quickly? In my view he should be groomed as a leader and appointed Misbah's deputy as soon as he regains form. He has players' respect as well as good understanding of the game... and is a nice guy!
