I was checking some profiles of different Test batsmen and found many of the top run scorer in Tests retired when they were 37 years old before entering into 38.
Usual suspects from SA side
Amla and ABD for SA
Misbah and YK from Pak (assuming YK in Test Squad) but....
Umar Akmal is my bet for the guy who can take us all by surprise!
In the opening match of the Paktel Cup in Multan, Pakistan avoided an embarrassing defeat when they were facing Zimbabwe.
With our current openers (Jamshed & Shehzad) struggling to score and Shahid Afridi bowling poorly to go along with his unpredictable, inconsistent batting, we are in search of both - an all-rounder and an opener (or maybe a couple of openers). Now, Sohaib Maqsood has impressed in the only T20I he's played, and he's also impressed in domestic cricket. If I recall correctly, I saw him hit a ton in ODIs in domestic cricket earlier this year, and that too while opening.
