I believe India's quota of wins has ended with their last win. Something I have allways made clear is if you take out India's opening pair within the first 5 overs, you expose the middle order. The last three teams failed to do this before Dhawan made a mark. India relies on a good start.
Rohit is a complete failure and just pigy backed off of Dhawan this entire tournament. Its a matter of time before the srilankan or England bolwers sucesfuly take out Dhawan within the first 5 overs and Rohit is going to be a push over.
THese are my stats below to also prove that why India wont win the CT.
India has never won one every single game in a row in a tournament (not odi or tests)
India tied with England before then went on to win the final in 2011. This is a fact.
Scrawny looking Bhuvanesh Kumar is a mediocre bowler and relies way too much on the new ball. Yadav did allmost nothing in the last game. The less said about Ishant the better. Hence their bowlers are ineffective.
The stats don't lie. Sri Lanka will beat India and take on South Africa...
Interesting day tomorrow, with all 3 of Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka in with a chance of qualifying. Sri Lanka are probably favourites as their destiny is in their own hands and they just need to beat a weak Australian side.
Who do you think will qualify?
Lets face it theres a massive shortage of batting talent in this country. In the past we always had 1-2 international quality batsmen who covered up for all the other losers carrying along. Right now, we are left with just the useless ones.
I dont think theres some MASSIVE injustice being meted out to the youngsters on bench. If they really were THAT bright they already would have found place. Lots of keepers were hyped on these boards and none of the replacements for K Akmal worked out. These TTFs indeed are best of this lot we got right now. There's no other international team as bold as us in trying youngsters. Most of our bowlers get into the team way earlier than they would have found place in any other team. So I don't see any reason why PCB would be reluctant to give similar chance to batsmen?
Its just one of those periods where we don't have TALENT. Yes, blunt, but we dont have it. We have the best coach in cricketing circuit, so I dont see how any more training/drills would have helped. They just dont have it. Until we unearth at least one Saeed Anwar, Inzi, Miandad or Yousaf level player, the batting unit will never be built. We need a batting genius.
Please forgive my pessimism.
