Misbah has lead Pakistan to 7 wins and 16 Losses vs Non-minnows Since Jan 2012. Dismal record or are there any extenuating circumstances?

Incredible when you see how badly they are losing games but are stats don't lie!

Four years ago today, Umar Gul bowled an extraordinary spell, picking up 5 wickets for just 6 runs. This also included the wicket of Scott Styris courtesy of some brilliant catching from Afridi.

There is something about seeing a batsman in full flow. Yes, you can talk about the great fast bowlers who could knock all three stumps over and still have time for a cup of tea before the batsman could bring his bat down, or the tall guy who puts the fear of God in you by constantly being at your throat all day. And sure, that is exciting too, but don't tell me that good, free-flowing batmanship doesn't make you go weak on your knees like a teenage girl in front of Beiber.

I think we should open with Nasir Jamshed and Ahmed Shehzad in the ODI Series against West Indies and give them a full run. Let them open in all of the 5 matches. Even if they fail, it's time to give a long run to young talent than these tried and tested failures. What you think?

I'm not saying the Pakistan team shouldn't be harshly criticised but keep it in perspective and at least don't be such an emotional group that goes further than non-support but actually starts rooting for opposition teams. Never thought I'd see the day where Pakistani fans want to be beaten by India.

Some fantatsic bowling and batting performances in this Champions Trophy but how do they compare with each other?

Current lineup unfortunately does not have a match winner in its ranks except for Misbah but are there other players who could make this dream team of match winners?

Insipid in its outlook - outgunned and out-thought, this Australian batting side for the ODIs looks hopelessly out of its depth.

He turns 56 today. Here's wishing Javed Miandad a very Happy Birthday and best of luck for the year ahead!

What's your favorite Miandad innings?

A user writes the following about Mohammad Hafeez:

After 120 ODIs, he averages 27 with a SR of 69 and the worst part is, 78 of his matches have come in Asia and in Zimbabwe and Ireland which is equivalent to 65%, and he averages in the 20's there as well.

Quite a few posters suggest it would be better off if he is demoted down the order. I am not sure how that serves as a solution. A batsman with a trash track record as his cannot be trusted with any role at any position. Besides, he isn't used to it either at any level.

Besides, if he has failed to do decently at positions he has played at for over a 100 games, how can he be trusted to adjust to a completely new role?
