For someone who took over the bowling attack without any really guidance from senior fast bowlers, Umar Gul has done well in making a name for himself in international cricket.

However, inconsistency is one thing that he is often criticized about.  So much so that some may say that he is one of the Pakistan's most undervalue cricketers.

Spoke earlier with Salman Butt's lawyer Yasin Patel regarding the CAS appeal.

He stated that all documents relating to the CAS appeal had been submitted at the appeal hearing in Switzerland and that no clarificaton had been asked for by the CAS after the appeal hearing.

Patel also confirmed that they had not presented any witnesses at the hearing and that Butt's and Asif's appeals were heard separately.

Patel added that whilst there had been no indication of a specific date of when the decision regarding the appeal would be announced, he believed that given the length of time since the hearing a decision was imminent.

Not that it matters now but for those still in doubt of the issues around his bowling action, nothing more definitive than the report from Uni of Western Australia

Angus Fraser stated his doubts over the sustainability of Twenty20s especially the franchises who are not generating any real profit.

Has the T20 cricket 'bubble' burst? Are the days of T20 cricket numbered?

Archrivals Pakistan and India will play against each other in the Champions Trophy on June 15th, 2013.  All ranking, form, and overall team strength become irrelevant when the two play one another.

Who will come out on top?

Hussain Talat is a sixteen-year old emerging batting talent who has impressed having played only four matches and averaging over 90.

How can such and similar talent be groomed for the future?

The 30 man provisional squad for the Champions Trophy was announced recently by the PCB.

However it's worth noting that the final 15 players do not have to come from the original list of 30 players.

Use this thread to add the names of players that weren't in the 30 man squad but you feel should be included in the final 15, but rather than just listing names add your thoughts on why those players should be included.

Just saw his stats and he is in the top 5 of most productive Pakistani batsman batting at no. 3 in ODIs. Solid strike rate and the average doesn't look too bad either. Surely he's a better option than Hafeez at no. 3 right?

Following his good form in the on-going President's Cup, does Sharjeel Khan deserve a spot in the ODI squad?

We know that the Champions Trophy is on its way, and we don't have a complementary opening pair.
We know one thing for sure, that Hafeez will play no matter what. But other than Hafeez out of these guys which would you prefer to open?
I would prefer Shehzad and Jamshed, like the T20s and have Hafeez at three, but if Hafeez isn't willing to give up his opening spot in ODIs then have Shehzad for sure.

Ahmed shehzad has 2 centuries which were both out of the sub continent, he averages more than all the other openers I have listed including Hafeez, out of the sub continent, to be precise he averages 36.33.

Furthermore he is in form at the moment looking at the Presidents Trophy, he has played 3 innings so far, and got over fifty all three times with a century today.
