Mixed emotions I guess for many regarding the possibility that Mohammad Amir could be allowed to play cricket ahead of his five year ban for spot fixing.

Some would argue that a five year ban should mean a five year ban and nothing less and that there should be absolutely no leniency. Others say that Amir was a victim in all the spot fixing mess and was hard done by and deserves some leniency in terms of the length of his ban.

The anti-corruption code is set to be amended to allow banned cricketers the chance to play some club cricket and domestic cricket before the ban is over.

What are your thoughts on the amendment to the anti-corruption code?

Is it right that Amir and others who were banned for five years are allowed to play cricket ahead of their ban?

Some batsmen just missed out on being -alltime great' or 'great' but were classified as 'very good'.This is my choice of 'very good' but not 'great ' batsmen in order of merit.I have assumed some stars with an average of 45+ like Vijay Hazare,Vijay Merchant,Rohan Kanhai,Clive Lloyd,Geoff Boycott,Neil Harvey and Doug Walters.Gordon Greenidge averaged around 44 while Ian Chappell ,Aravinda de'Silva and Graham Gooch around 42,but all three batsmen are generally classified in the 'great' category.Inzamam Ul Haq's ,Kevin Peterson's or Geoff Boycott's claim to 'greatness' are debatable but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Clearly the ICC ruling or draft etc is not specific to one player. Asif and Butt are also in the same boat so should they take heart from PCB announcement also?

Both India and Sri Lanka have players who have made 10,000 Test runs or taken 500 wickets, but is there any Pakistani player that has achieved one of the feats?

As new FTP 2015-2023 has signed and Pakistan gained so called six series with India, they should have negotiated with CA anf ECB to gain Pakistan touring more to these countries as more competitive cricket is provided by these nations, it's even bigger than playing 6 series with India on batting Paradises. A full tour followed by a short one after two years to these countries would have been brilliant for Pakistan to play competitive cricket and raise their cricketing standards.
