My cousin sent me an OLD cricket book (used) from Pakistan which bought from a footpath vendor near Anarkali Bazzar for Rs. 30.00.
This book has pictures of almost ALL Pakistani cricketers who made their test debut before 1989/90. I am going to upload those pictures from time to time.....but you have to guess the name of the cricketer! Good Luck!!!
The Pakistani captaincy tussles over the years have always intrigued me. The most confusing thing I've found is why the desperation for the captaincy, why go to such lengths and measures to be captain of your country? Is having the honour of playing for your country not enough for some?
The Miandad versus Imran 'battles' were my entry into the Pakistani captaincy battles. As a child my cousins would ask me, are you with Miandad or with Imran? My answer would be, I'm with neither, I support Pakistan, not Miandad or Imran, or Lahore or Karachi.
Australia fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has revealed that he may need to reconsider his availability in all three forms of cricket to ensure his fitness for the 2015 Ashes Series in England. The 32-year-old pace bowler returned to the Test ranks to bowl Australia to a home Ashes whitewash as well as a series victory in South Africa in the winter.
Pros 1. Smart cricketer - keeps thinking 2. Confident 3. Up for a challenge and seems to enjoy the game 4. Does not seem to get into a tangle with any teammates- no irresponsible statments in the press for his teammates (it matters - shows his team spirit) 5. Permanent member in ODI and test side Cons 1. Age 2. No prior captaincy experience (needs to be verified - not sure about domestic experiences) 3. Team accepting him as captains (needs to be verified - not sure)
Once again the IPL will start without some of the best twenty over cricketing talent in the world from Pakistan. Do you think Pakistani cricketers should be concerned about not playing at the IPL?
