Who is currently the senior most cricketer in the world right now, and how successful have they been?
This will be the person who made his debut in a Test or an ODI the earliest and is still playing. (Does not depend on age)
Firstly I do not believe we have done that badly as a team. Of late I have seen a massive overreaction by fans but really the Pakistan team isn't that bad. Look at some of our recent results: We beat SA(number 1 team) in a test match, we beat SA in SA which no Asian team has ever managed to do and we were finalists in the Asia Cup beating arch-rivals India. These victories were all within this last year so not everything has gone pear-shaped. Yes you could name the poor performances we've had during this period too but I'd rather focus on the positives and their have been quite a few.
Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara were crucial in the World T20 win, and rightly feel grateful to have fans whose support remains unwavering in victory and defeat. There absence be felt for a while - how will Sri Lanka cope?
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is contemplating a radical change in its domestic cricket structure which would see the abolishment of departmental cricket after nearly five decades in the country.
A PCB source told PTI that at the last managing committee meeting held in Lahore this month, Chairman Najam Sethi had expressed his dissatisfaction with the prevailing domestic cricket structure which is split into first class tournaments for departments/banks and regional cricket associations.
Muhammad sami is among one of the fastest bowlers Pakistan has produced and though i agree that he is worse in tests but in Odis his record is much better than Umer gul , Rana naved ,Tanvir Ahmed , Wahab Riaz etc and today after searching on cricinfo i came to the conclusion that the guy was hard done by PCB.
Odi avgs of bowlers
Muhammad sami 28.65
Umer gul avg 28.70
Rana Naved 29.28
Wahab Riaz 32.54
