The picture says it all. These are the players we are missing in the current squad. If we had these guys, our team would be so much stronger. The selectors and PCB in general are notorious for prematurely weakening the squad and I feel this Champions Trophy squad is another example of this regardless of how they perform. We could've had a much stronger squad!

Firstly, I'd like to wish a very happy birthday to Umar Akmal, who turned 23 today.
Now, on to the business; there's a very pronounced divide amongst the posters here at PakPassion when it comes to Umar Akmal. There are countless blind supporters who acknowledge the undeniable talent that is Umar Akmal, and then there is the other party that sees the faults, namely a lack of temperament.
I belong somewhere in the middle. & here comes the statement which our whole Indian community will rebut with their lives.
Umar Akmal, has the tools to easily surpass Tendulkar as an ODI batsman; he lacks the temperament to achieve similar feats in tests, and most likely won't ever reach him in that respect.

We've seen in the last few games who's performing and who's not and I think it gives us somewhat of an idea on who should be playing and who shouldn't.

This isn't a knee jerk reaction, but a reaction to the 5000 and counting runs and 11 hundreds as well as a plethora of match winning / saving knocks under pressure.
Point is, we all know he is a terrible WK and we all hope a better alternative comes along sooner than later, but the truth is at the moment there is no better option in the country.
