Once again a Pakistan vs Australia T20 has been a classic especially on the biggest stage. Pakistan and Australia have had a tied match anda few thrilling matches. Is it the best rivalry amongst 2 teams?

It was only 10 short months ago that the Pakistani team shocked the world with them not winning any matches and promising to focus on the youth from there on. How has Pakistan since then focused and developed youngsters in the team?

I think he will be a good pick for the test side against Australia. What do you guys think?

I don't know about anyone else but was Steyn's over really special?

He had sheer pace, I think clocking 92 mph, but most of the over were full deliveries outside off, anyone with composure would have surely finished the match. Wasn't in the blockhole but definitely hittable.

Mark Butcher made the point that Morkel was bowling like that and getting spanked, and that his reputation instilled fear McCullum.

Most PPers feels there is high chance that India can lose against Bangladesh,
Bangladesh cannot defeat Australia who has most devasting batting lineup in the tournament,
Pakistan can win blindfoldedly and eyes closed against Bangladesh.

According to me Pakistan and W.I. are the most vulnerable teams in this tournament and Bangladesh can cause upset against these 2 teams. For me Pakistan is in most favourable position to loose against Bangladesh.

What do you guys think ???

Why is it that these awards are always given to batsmen in odi and t20s. Duminy innings was brilliant but it was going in a losing cause till Steyn turned the whole match around but still Duminy won MoM award.

On paper and on the ground i think we have the weakest batting line up

Most are not power hitters besides Afridi and U. Akmal . Afridi is a a slogger with wild swings and that leaves the rest of the bating line up look very average,

In comparison
India top 5-6 can destroy bowling line up singal handedly .
Srilanka have Perrera, Sanga,Jaya,Mathews.
Australia, warner, maxwell, Bailey, Watson,
West indies the whole team
South Africa, Ab, Dekock,Miller,J P. A morkel,
England,Lumb, Hales ,Bopara.Morgan,Butler,
New Zealnad, Most of the team,

How many of the hitters come of is irrelevant
What hope do you have when Malik is batting?
He can't hit a 6 of a fast bowlers. and its 37 innings since his had a 50+ score,
How can we win tournament like this with out power hitters in the middle or at some point in the innings,

Statistics may not back my statement but Afridi has looked a better, more sensible, intelligent and consistent batsman to me since returning for the WI series last summer.

His bowling although not as devastating as it was in 2009-2011, but still a major improvement over the shoddy performances in 2012.

He looks motivated to me, wants to end on a high note I reckon.

The axing for the Champions Trophy might have been a wake up call that he is no longer an automatic selection.

Then again, I might be hoping against hope because this is Afridi we are talking about. I man who has let down the team more times than he has delivered.

I'd like to think otherwise though and driven and fired up Afridi can only be good news for us.
