Pakistan were clearly 20-30 runs short of a score which could have challenged India. The top 3 Pakistani batsmen did not live up to their billing for Pakistan and the low run rate of the first 10 overs eventually put too much pressure on the later order Pakistan batsmen. India for their part used their spin option very efficiently and when it came to bat, delivered the killer punches against Pakistan's top bowlers with ease. Pakistan will now need to lick their wounds and hope to pick up their game against Australia in the next game - simply put, Pakistani batsmen will need to come to the World Cup party.
I am completely perplexed by our batting approach today? In all my years of watching Pak team this has got to be the most bizzare batting I have seen from Pak. Why on earth were we not trying to hit out after 15 overs? Why did we wait till the 19th over to start hitting out? I just dont get it. Does anyone understand what happened out there today? Is there something in the pitch that made Porf believe that 130 is a defendable score?
It almost seemed like there is some conflict in the dressing room which made us play like this. I know there were some reports of a disagreement over team selection between Hafeez and the touring selection committee. My guess is Hafeez wanted his cronies Akmal Sr and Malik in the team and the Boss wanted Sharjeel?
8 overs worth of dot balls in a T20??
Just speechless...
Ok I know there are a lot of haters, but here are the facts.
1. In the CL T20 he was by far the best Faisalabad Wolves player scoring half their runs.
2. He was the best player in the Faysal Bank T-20 domestic tournament:

3. He has been by far our best international batsman in the last 12 months.
4. Misbah no longer being the captain can play a lot more freely. Have the license to hit rather than try to carry the team.
5. I know he is on longer the captain, but Pakistan won 6 out of their 8 (75%) of their matches when he was captain. So he was doing something right there!
6. Yes his SR is not the highest, but he has the best average of Pakistani batsman in T20I

You dont need everyone going bonkers. The ball is going to turn in Bangladesh need someone who can score runs consistently.
If we take our hater goggles off and our only aim is to take the best players to the T20 world Cup, it is very hard to argue against Misbah being in the team.
Over years India and Pakistan match has often come down to who can hold their nerve better,
But over years we have seen India totally dominate this the nerve game.
My theory is this has come from India's rivalry against Australia has pushed India to become mentally very very strong ,Where as Pakistan doesn't really have a rival besides India .
Maybe during the 80's Imran's team against the W.i rivalry made us stronger,
What's your view

After that fluke win against a depleted Indian side our media esp and fans generally went into hype overdrive. Truth is bar from Ajmal and Misbah our cricket is full of mediocre midgets.
Its a travesty that Misbah is not part of this line up. To make matters worse proven failures like Kami and Malik are back in the team without earning their spot.
I fear this team would struggle to win a single game in this tournament.
As most of the PPers know I have been scolded & crucified for advocating high S/R in ODIs and T20s ...... but here is another proof that high (in fact very high) Strike Rates is present and future of the the LOI cricket - ODI or T20 cricket.
How many Pakistani batsmen can bat like this - if a do or die situation arises in T20 or ODIs?
Was Malik the right choice for #WT20? Would Fawad Alam have been better? Or is there something about Malik and India which makes the difference?
