In the fifth match of the 1987 World Cup, Pakistan and England faced off in Rawalpindi.
Both teams had started their campaigns off in thrilling fashion. Pakistan had defeated Sri Lanka by 15 runs while England had squeaked by West Indies in a two-wicket victory. That trend continued when they would go up against each other.
