With the news that MS Dhoni has been ruled out of the Tri Nations tournament in the West Indies, it would be interesting to see how the team copes with his absence on the field. How important is MS Dhoni for Team India?

Amir - 6 month jail sentence. Pleaded guilty in court case.
Westfield - 4 month jail sentence. Pleaded guilty in court case.
Kaneria - No jail sentence. No court case. No guilty verdict from a law court, only from a tribunal.

Amir - 5 year ban from all cricket.
Westfield - 5 year ban from county cricket, but only 3 year ban from club cricket.
Kaneria - Life ban from all cricket.

Amir - ICC's latest announcement - No reduction in 5 year ban but possibility of training at PCB facilities allowed.
Westfield - Trying to get ban from club cricket reduced even further.
Kaneria - Told to pay over £100,000 costs of tribunal etc.

Double, or should it be triple, standards or what!

If you also include Asif and Butt, it means that Amir, Asif, Butt and Westfield, despite being found guilty in law courts and serving jail sentences, will all be allowed to play after serving 5 year bans ( 3 years in Westfields case as regards club cricket, and possibly even less depending upon his appeal), but Kaneria, who's not even been tried in a court of law, has a life ban?

What kind of justice is this, other than the ECB being vindictive towards Kaneria?

Which player do you rate the highest amongst these in Test Matches.

For me i have to say Root, has a good solid technique and the most important thing is that he has the temperament to play Long Innings, also can accelerate at will.

Rutherford is a very good young player, has a very good technique and is a stroke maker very pleasant to watch but he does have the tendency to play loose strokes when settled though.

Umar Akmal is also a very Talented Batsman, again he has a good technique but because tends to over attack in Test Matches and gets out this way.

Kohli is a good young Player, is settling into the Test Arena, has improved a lot but he also sometimes gets out because of his attacking instincts.

Darren Bravo also has shown great potential, has shown a lot of talent, has a very good technique, is a very good player of spin and has a very good temperament, but he has got out by playing Loose Shots early on in his innings, but once he is settled he makes his starts count.
