The hosts go into the competition looking like they will be without one of their key players Andrew Flintoff which is a huge blow for them. Muhammad Asif, the Pakistani medium fast bowler is as we all know currently serving a year long ban. In order to stay fit and involved in cricket he is in England playing some club cricket as well as doing some training and a bit of coaching.
He was recently doing a coaching initiative for children in conjunction with the London Cricket School.
I’ve just been speaking to the ever popular Rana Naved ul Hasan who is representing Yorkshire in his second season with the White Rose County. His first season with Yorkshire was a relatively successful one but Rana is hopeful that his second season will be a more promising one, especially given the good start he has made to the 2009 County season.
I’ve just been chatting to Pakistan’s brightest and newest pace sensation Muhammed Aamer. The promising young left armer has been selected for the Twenty/20 World Cup in England and has really impressed a lot of current and former Pakistani players including Wasim Akram with his attitude and his ability.
