I have been watching cricket for a long time and have always noticed the commentators being biased towards their team. So much so, that they sometime forget commentators should be neutral and becomes a cheerleader for their team.
This list of Kiwi commentators on SKY are a breath of fresh air. Absolutely unbiased, sporting and quality on air commentary by the likes of Simon Doul, Richardson,Scott Styris etc. Other broadcasters must take a leaf out their book.
Hope BCCI is taking a notice and take more of these Kiwi commentators on board during this years IPL. Great job guys.
In all the huss and fuss, one thing which is remarkable is the fact that with the exception of BD captain, no one has said anything against the two tier proposal, the non-relegation clause for the three ghuunda board teams, and overall horrendous implications that are bound to happen if all goes through as the three have planned!
What will happen to the DRS? Will it be used at at all or will it remain as is (used in most matches except ones involving India)
As the dust settles on Pakistan's magical performance in the 3rd Test in Sharjah, former Pakistan captain and opening batsman Aamir Sohail writing in his latest blog for PakPassion.net offers analytical input regarding some of the prominent players who were involved in the memorable showdown in Sharjah and presents his case for an appointment of a head coach who is a batting specialist.
Known for his aggressive batting and equally forthright views on cricket, Sohail also shares his thoughts on the proposals by the BCCI, ECB and CA on revamping the ICC and asks if the whole process is driven by petty political motives as opposed to a genuine desire to improve the game.
