As long as cricket boards keep fighting lone battle the top three will keep bullying the rest of boards and finally get a vote in favor.
All these 3 boards (PCB, CSA & WICB) need to take a united stand. All these 3 countries have a rich cricketing tradition. If these 3 boards get united, smaller boards n assosiates may also join...
But as soon as these 3 boards issue a joint statement.. the proposal will die immature death
With Misbah nearly 40 years old, it's time to groom someone for captain. Mohammad Hafeez is 30+ and will be a short-term option. Besides his struggles outside Asia is known to all. Guys like Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali are way too inconsistent while Umar Akmal and Shehzad are not mature enough to lead a side yet IMO. The best option IMO is Maqsood.
Punjab is safe. Stadiums in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi.
That is enough stadiums for a tour. The revenue would be astronomical after a 3 test, 5 odi and 3 T20 tour.
Why has another country still not toured?
What are the safest areas in Pakistan if a tour does happen?
What would fans think of this idea if it included guaranteed home and away series between traditional rivals every 4 years.
India: Pakistan, Bangladesh, and eventually Afghanistan
Australia: New Zealand, South Africa, and eventually Zimbabwe
England: West Indies, Sri Lanka, and eventually Ireland.
With each of the big 3 supporting cricket in rival countries, we can have eventually 12 test teams. We know India/England/aus want to play each other to make money. They should realize that plenty of money is available by also playing some rivals as well.
Both suffered from that neutral series against Australia in 2002.
Imran Nazir never played Test cricket again.
Misbah had to wait five years, apart from a solitary Test against Bangladesh.
Both played ODIs during this interim period, with neither impressing much.
Misbah went on to get back in the Pakistan Test team following the 2007 ICC World T20 and became more of a grounded batsman compared to the Misbah of that World Cup, but Nazir had reinvented himself as a slogger and although he performed in the 2007 ICC World T20, he just fizzled out
Arguably Nazir was more talented but Misbah made more of his limited abilities in the twilight of his career.
The Late Bob Woolmer deserves a lot of credit for raising the bar for coaches but was he the best coach Pakistan ever had?
